The subject of my research is about the ocean. In recent years, due to the over-exploitation and utilization of resources, environmental pollution etc.the marine ecological environment has been continuously destroyed and the current status of marine protection is not optimistic.

So at the beginning, I focused my research on environmental pollution. However, in the process of research, I found that plastic pollution is a part of marine environmental pollution that has always been addressed.Because 8 million tons of plastic enter the ocean every year, which is equivalent to a truckload of plastic being dumped into the sea every minute. In addition to dropped goods, discarded plastic fishing nets and longline fishing lines are also a major source, accounting for about 10%. In addition, the polystyrene foam used in aquaculture to make cages is also one of the sources of marine plastic pollution.

As the conditions for marine protection are too difficult, it is difficult to retain professionals and the number of relevant volunteer organizations is far from enough, so I want to target young people and encourage more young people to participate in marine environmental protection.
